The Erath County United Way Board of Directors announced in 2018 a new student scholarship program for Erath County graduating seniors. Erath County United Way has awarded 19 scholarships in the amount $500.00. in 2024 we selected 4 winners to receive this scholarship.

​Andie Stephens is a student at Lingleville ISD, where she was involved in student council, basketball, track, cheer, cross country, and FFA, Andie has over 100+ hours of community service, and she plans on going to East Texas Baptist University, where she will continue her soccer career as well as studying kinesiology.

Elizabeth Divin is a student at Huckabay ISD, where she is involved in athletics, student council, and national honor society. Elizabeth has over 500 hours of community service to the community and has organized two separate food drives. Elizabeth plans on attending Western Colorado University and wants to major in exercise and sports science.

Creece Brister is a student at Stephenville
High School. Creece has accumulated over 100 hours of community service and has helped us with various events, including Fish Fry and Light up the Night. Creece has applied to TCU and intends on going to study engineering.

Benjamin Wood is a student at Stephenville High School, where he is a two-time drum major in the Yellow Jacket Marching Band and has been class president for four years. Benjamin has assisted the United Way with 20+ hours of community service and helped us with the Light U the Night event by taking photos. Benjamin plans on going to the University of Texas to study Business.

​These scholarships are intended to help students defray the cost of educational expenses.

LIVE UNITED SCHOLARSHIP


The LIVE UNITED Scholarships are designed to recognize individuals who help make a positive impact in the community. Awards will be based on the applicants demonstrated commitment to community service and the extent to which the applicant has impacted the community through leadership and service.

To qualify, applicants must have attended an Erath County I.S.D., private school or home school in Erath County and contributed a minimum of 20 hours service to the Erath County United Way.

Applications for the LIVE UNITED Scholarships are available at all Erath County I.S.D. Counselor offices or on our website edybagus.com.
